Date Night

Saturday we went out with a few of our friends. We ate at Olive Garden and then went bowling in Idaho Falls. We had a great time. Laughing and enjoying each others company. I love date nights. We don't do them very often but love the times that we are able to.
Thanks Chris and Crystal for watching Dax for us. We had a great time.

Look at that form. Wow! Is he professional? Oh wait, I think his wife beat his score! He He!

Rough Weekend

This little boy had a rough weekend. On Thursday he ran into the bed post and gave himself a black eye. On Saturday he was pushing a stroller and went from carpet to hardwood and biffed it, giving himself a fat bloody lip and also bruising his gums where his teeth come out. Luckily they were not loose. And then to top it off on Sunday he ran into grandma's bedroom with the lights off and ran right into the corner of the dresser giving himself a bigger black eye with bruises that go from his forehead to his upper lip. I'm so sorry bud. Thankfully he had his one year checkup on Wed., otherwise mom might be in trouble.

Even though all those things happened this weekend, he was still a pretty happy boy, only cried a little. It didn't' slow him down in the least bit.

CATCHING UP!

My friend Holly came to Wellsville to stay with her parents for a little while from Alaska. North Pole to be exact. I thinks it's cool that that's her address. Dax and I went down to eat lunch with her and her girls. Abby 4, Avery 3. Scott stayed home. He had a basketball game Friday night and then he wanted to go hunting on Saturday and not feel guilty about not being home with us. Holly's husband wasn't there either had had already gone back to Alaska.

We went to Firehouse and each got a ice cream cookie. They are to die for. We both agree that when you move away, they just don't have the restaurants that home had to offer. So anytime we come home we have to eat somewhere that Alaska, or Blackfoot doesn't offer. I think our favorite spots to catch up have been Sizzler, we both waitressed there, Formosa a Chinese place, and Firehouse.

We tried to get a picture of the kids but they didn't feel like cooperating. They still turned out cute though.

Thanks Holly for taking some time and spending it with Dax and I it was great to visit and catch up. Your girls were adorable and so big I can't believe it. I love Avery's expression in this picture. I'm so glad that we're able to do this every once in awhile. I miss ya and I'm glad that everything is going well for you.

ODD SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS!

Lately I've been finding Dax in some unusual positions. Here's one with his feet in between the bars. That can't be comfortable.

And here he is laying sideways, blanket in mouth draped over his face. Even in the oddest positions, they still seem to sleep excellent. Wish I could sleep that good.

LAVA HOT SPRINGS!

Last Saturday we decided to take Dax to Lava Hot Springs. We had a pretty good time. The water was really hot, so Dax didn't like it as first but after he got used to it he had a blast playing with his toys on the steps splashing away. What a fun family memory. We've really enjoyed Dax lately. He's getting to the point were he can understand us a little better and we can understand him a little more. What a fun age.

SURPRISE!

So the other day Scott came home from his meeting and said, "you stay here I need to take Dax to go get something." The next thing I heard was "go find mom" As I waited anxiously I saw Dax peek around the corner with a present in his hand. I looked at Scott in confusement (if that's a word) and I found an iPod in side. He's known I've wanted one of these for a long time. I was very excited. Then he took Dax to get another gift. I unwrapped it and found a gift card for iTunes, and then another gift which was the car charger, wall charger and radio adapter. HOW FUN!
Come to find out instead of going to his meetings, he went to his friends house and downloaded a bunch of songs for me. What a great surprise. This is probably the best surprise I've gotten since we've been married. I have such a great husband. You did awesome babes. Thanks.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

For New Year's Eve we went over to our neighbors house with a few couples from the ward. We ate a bunch of good food, the ribs were the best by far and the meatballs. We played rock band on the wii and was able to relax and visit.

This picture was taken at like 10:30pm. I'm surprised that Dax was still kickin around. He did awesome. He played so well with all of the kids. We watched the ball drop in New York at 10pm and called it good. We had a really good time.

CHRISTMAS IN BLACKFOOT!

After we got back from Logan, we went to Scott's parents house on Sunday. Chris and Crystal and the girls came out. We ate yummy ham and and mashed potatoes with ham gravy. It's the best ever. We opened gifts and watched the kids get so excited. Grandma and Grandpa got Dax this little vacuum. He loves that thing. He pushes it around everywhere and gets mad when he gets stuck. They also got a red wagon and of course they all needed a ride. Chris and Crystal got new ski goggles and the kids wanted to try them on. They looked hilarious. We were sad Tyler, Katie, Maddex and Jett weren't able to be with us, but next year will be tons of fun with five little kids running around.
