BUMPS AND BRUISES!

The last five minutes of nursery Dax and I were hanging out by the door ready to go. As the door opened he turned, tripped on his foot and slammed into the door leaving this bruise. Before I could even pick him up it was already this swollen and blue. I'm just glad it didn't split. There was a lot of pressure under that bump.
He was pretty tough. He didn't cry for very long but kept rubbing his head and saying ouch. He even had a smile for me. Not too many things slow him down.

CRAZY D!

We found this clip of a little boy doing crazy tricks on his four wheeler. They call him Crazy P. Dax loving four wheelers right now will watch this clip over and over again. You can tell as he watches it he's figuring out how he does his tricks. Sure enough here's Dax copying his crazy tricks. Dax can do the one footer, the wheelie (whee whee), standing, and of course we can't leave out wrecking. I think that's his favorite. He purposely wrecks most of the time. This is our Crazy D. It's fun to see how brave and crazy he can be.

Manito Park

I went to visit my sister Amy, AGAIN. We went to this really cool park. Inside it had different themed gardens. A few that I remember are Japanese Garden, Rose Garden, Lilac Garden and English Garden which is the picture I have here. As you stood on the top of the stairs, it looked like you were looking at a picture out of a magazine. Each garden was so pretty and they smelled so good with all the flowers they had. It was really neat. Dax and Aidan loved the water fountain.

They had some playground toys. This little one was perfect for Dax. The rock climb, the slides, everything. He loved that he could go down the slide all by himself and not crash into the ground at the bottom. They had ducks there at the pond that we fed a lot of bread to. After our bread was almost gone we saw the sign "Do not feed the waterfowl. OOPS!

Being there was very relaxing. We really enjoyed spending time with family.

TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALLGAME!

We went with some of our friends to a Salt Lake Bees game a couple of weeks ago. We decided to make a weekend of it, so Friday we went to the Bees game and Saturday we swam at the hotel in the morning and then went to Hogle Zoo.

Dax was a huge fan of "The Bee". Just at a far distance though. Up close, not so much as you can see.

Here is Jake, Heidi, Case, Me, Dax, and Scott. Hoss and Chris were taking the picture and Chris was holding Kate. The boys got sword balloons but by the end of the night I think all of them had popped. They were giving out free bike helmets for the kids. All the kids got a bike helmet including little Kate. Dax enjoyed his hot dog and ice cream in a baseball cap. He still points to it on his shelf and says "ice cream" .
Here's us three, well I guess 4. I'm looking pretty pregnant there.

Hogle Zoo

I forget how big Hogle Zoo is. And how much stuff there is to see and do. We were able to see the giraffes. One of them just had a baby which was nine days old, so we felt lucky to see that as well. Dax loved the monkeys the best I think. Each time we left the monkeys to go see something else he'd throw a fit. He tried to mimic the monkeys. You could tell he really enjoyed it, which made it fun for Scott and I.
We rode the carousel. Dax could have rode that thing all day if it was up to him. By the first time I was done.

Here's the whole group of us that went. It was fun to be able to go and do something with our friends. We had a really good time. Kids make it hard to do things sometimes, but all in all, they make it much more fun!

MORMON BEND CAMPING!

This last week was our annual camping trip with Scott's family. We go to Stanley and stay at a campsite called Mormon Bend. They have paved roads which makes it nice for the kids to ride their bikes. Things we enjoy doing while we are there for a week include: floating the Salmon River on our inner tubes, eating great food, fishing, going to the hot pools, relaxing, playing cards and sitting by the fire after our kids go to bed and just enjoy being able to visit and watch the kids play well together.

We look forward to this camping trip all year and we're sad when it's over. Next year there will be a couple more kiddos running around that we'll have to chase. It will be lots of fun.

VISITING MY SIS!

This last week I was able to go see my sister Amy in Spokane. Thanks to a conference I had for work, I didn't have to pay for anything. I feel really lucky.
Our first day we went to Greenbluff Drive and picked raspberries. The kids loved it. Dax helped a whole bunch but wasn't sure about the taste.
We had raspberries for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We even made some raspberry freezer jam. It was awesome.
The next day we went to the city pool. Admission was only $1 for me and Dax was free. Can't beat that fun. The kids are all water rats.
