SNOW SHOEING IN JACKSON!

This year for Valentines I did something way out of the ordinary for me. All the girls from the O.R. went on their annual snow shoeing trip. This year was my first. Well at least the snow shoeing part. I went last year but Dax was only two months old, so I stayed in the cabin with him. This year was in Jackson right across from the elk refuge. We had such a blast. Friday night entailed playing Apples to Apples, eating as much junk food as we wanted to and laughing till our bellies hurt, or was it the food. Either way we had a great time.

This is Trish and I a little ways into the trip. We went to the Teton National park up by Bradley Lake.
As you can see we started bundled up and about a half mile into it we all started shedding clothes.

This is Becky and I. Her and Trish I got the most kick out of this trip. They were hilarious!

Here's the final picture on the lake. A small storm was starting to roll in. It was a very gorgeous hike. This is where we ate our lunch and then started back. I've already started my count down for next year. Snow shoeing here I come.

HORRIBLE CUTTING SKILLS!

So a couple weeks ago Dax's hair was getting a little long to do anything with so I decided I would just take the buzzer to it to make it a little shorter. After I was done I got looking at it and decided that it didn't look so good but I left it alone. It will grow back right?

Well last Sunday I was doing Dax's hair again and in the back by his neck his hair was just a little long it kind of did the flip out thing even with gel. So I decided I would get some scissors and just cut it off in a straight line. Not that hard. That didn't work very well either. In fact it looked so awful that when I got to church Scott's first words were "What did you do to his hair?"

That night I asked his mom if she would help me fix his hair, just buzz it to even it all out. With two giant holes later in the back of his head I decided I'd had enough and took him to my hair lady. She so kindly showed me how to use the clippers and then take a comb and some fine scissors to get the stray long ones. But I am not to do this without the help of my husband to help distract him. Dax has officially enrolled into the military. We are such proud parents!
